Shop Hop ParticipantsThe Shipshewana Backroads Shop Hop is back again with the theme "Traditional Favorites along the Backroads". This year there are 5 (five) locations participating in the event. The hop will begin Wednesday June 24th and run through Saturday June 27th, 2015. This is a great way to see the backroads in the area! Visit all locations and have your name entered into a drawing for the Grand Prize Basket and more great prizes!

At each shop you will receive a free pattern for a project, as well as a free recipe.

Purchase your passport beginning MAY 1, 2015 at any participating shop. Passports may also be purchased with the pre-enrollment process beginning MARCH 2, 2015.

So take a peek into each of the individual stores’ websites and join the fun. With your fee you will receive the Shop Hop Passport and a Tote to carry all the goodies you pick up along the way.

Caroline’s Cottage Cottons of Rome City is located in the “Heart of the Lake Region” in northeast Indiana. This charming Quilt Shop makes its home in a Georgia Brick Cottage, built in 1870. Each room offers a different fabric focus. The Cottage also offers quality 100% cottons, books, patterns and wool for penny rugs and wool projects. Customers especially enjoy the personal attention and knowledgeable help they receive. Take State Road 9 to Rome City, turn west between Miller’s Super Value and the Limberlost Library. Proceed one block, turn right onto Weston Street and park in front of the Cottage. If the parking lot is full, park in the Cottage side yard.

2013 Charity Challenge Quilt


Each year, all Shop Hop participants receive fabric and block instructions for our Charity Challenge. Finished blocks are returned and made into quilts which are then given to charities chosen by our guest speakers. Your generosity has been used to bless many! Thanks for your overwhelming participation! You are invited to participate in the 2014 Charity Challenge Quilt. Look for the supplies in your Shop Hop bag. Be one of many to make a difference!
