A Special Thank You!
The Education Committee would like to give a big thank you to the Shipshewana-Scott Elementary PTO for their assistance last year with lunch and the great snacks!
To prepare for your action-packed day, you must pick up your Schoolhouse Booklet at the registration desk in the Michiana Event Center. This may be done beginning on Tuesday, June 23 at 12 noon and must be done prior to attendance on Thursday, June 25.
Your schoolhouse booklet will list the full selection of classes, including times, instructors and topics. In the booklet there will also be a page to help you plan your day. With so much to learn and the flexibility to choose the topics when they best fit your schedule, we have left the timing of a lunch break up to you.
Please note: the booklet is not available prior to Festival.
To participate in Schoolhouse, you must enroll by June 10, 2020. Schoolhouse registration is not available at on-site enrollment.
A separate enrollment is required for each participant regardless of age.
Schoolhouse Instructor Process and Procedures
The following information is provided to clarify the processes that have been adopted by the Shipshewana Quilt Festival for instructors at Schoolhouse. Because of the interest in teaching and the desire to offer high quality sessions, the Education Committee has adopted a proposal and approval process for instructors.
The Request for Proposals is posted on the web site late summer with a deadline of mid-fall for the next calendar year's show. The application deadline for consideration for next year's show is October 31. This allows all involved in the process at least 6 months to plan for the event. Instructor decisions are made early winter followed by notifications to all applicants.
The show maintains a contact list of those wishing to receive notification of Request of Proposal availability and will forward you information when it becomes available. To add your name to this list, please e-mail your contact information to info@ShipshewanaQuiltFest.com or fill in the form at www.ShipshewanaQuiltFest.com/form.html and check to be added to the "Instructor/Educator Information" email list.
The organizers do identify alternate selections in the case of last minute cancellations. Should you desire to be considered for this list, please contact us at info@ShipshewanaQuiltFest.com
